Ham & Cheese Sandwich Remixed

Ham with Cheese Sandwich remixed Yummy wrap for the superbowlHam & Cheese Sandwich Remixed

I make sandwiches for my hubby to take to lunch. Every day its the same old thing. He does not complain.  But the other day I found some whole wheat only 100 calorie wraps on sale for $1.69 a package and could not resist buying.  So I mixed up his lunch menu a bit and make him wraps instead of sandwiches. Ham & Cheese Sandwich Remixed.

I did not want to have them get soggy so I did add a thin layer of cream cheese as a substitute for mayonnaise.  They turned out as a fun mix up to the typical humdrum lunch sandwich.

Ham & Cheese Sandwich Remixed Same Ingredients New Package

The ham & cheese sandwich remixed turned out so good.  Use regular lunch meat, sliced cheese. At this point I popped it into the microwave for 20 seconds to soften the wrap.  Then I drizzled a little mustard and put whole or sliced romaine lettuce on top of the cheese.  Rolled up the entire wrap.  It stayed together because it was warm.  If you are serving this fun wrap at home wrap it in parchment or waxed paper and slice diagonally down the center.  It makes the typically lunch of a sandwich and chips feel like you went to a deli.

I do admit it was not the most economical way to pack a sack lunch. But for a change of pace or a special occasion for now reason at all I loved it.  It  will be a huge hit at your house  too.

If you want to change it up and make it really special use a flavored cream cheese.  Can you imagine a Turkey Club remixed? Use bacon flavored cream cheese, turkey slices, provolone cheese with fresh lettuce and tomato. Drizzle with a little thinned pesto. Or maybe try my Cuban Quesadilla cold and wrapped up?  Trying Ham & Cheese Sandwich Remixed into a wrap makes the same old lunch more fun.

YUM AMAZING is exactly what your family will be saying when you serve them a “fancy sandwich” once in a while.
