Balsamic Cherry Brie Stuffed French Toast

Balsamic Cherry Brie Stuffed French Toast

Do you ever get inspiration by combining flavors that just seem wrong? Does the idea of this seem weird?

The first time I had strawberries in balsamic vinegar the image of something horrid was the first thing I imagined. To avoid throwing up in my mouth, I convinced myself to keep an open mind.  So glad that I did keep an open mind. To my delight it was good. Actually, it was really, really good. My taste buds were instantly in LOVE!  I had to refrain from drinking the juice from the dish once I had polished off the berries.

Interesting Food Science Fact:

Somehow when combined balsamic vinegar brings out the sweetest part of the fruit.  Berries and Cherries are intensified when soaked in a little Balsamic vinegar. This is so Alton Brown, don’t you think?

Cherry is our featured ingredients for a #Foodie Extravaganza shared post.   I had a few recipes in mind to share but decided to ditch the sweet Cherry Chocolate Brownie or the Cherry Pie Pop and go for the decadent brunch delight, Balsamic Cherry Brie Stuffed French Toast.

I usually steer clear of the over -the-top recipes but Valentine’s Day is approaching. So why not? It happens to fall on a Saturday this year. Wouldn’t a nice brunch for your sweetheart be an amazing surprise?  Whip up a batch of Balsamic Cherry Brie Stuffed French Toast. If he hasn’t asked to marry you after the 2nd bite,  you have already tied the knot.  It’s a Marriage Proposal just waiting to happen….Just saying!

If this isn’t your style then check out the other amazing recipes created by my blogger friends at #FoodieExtravaganza.  I am always impressed by the quality of each recipe we share with each other.  Personally you are going to want to try Balsamic Cherry Brie Stuffed French Toast first.

Oh, girl, this has me written all over it! French toast? mmmm… Brie? mmm… Add it all together with cherries? I think I’m in heaven. Side note: I love balsamic, strawberries and ice cream. Really, I love just balsamic and ice cream. 😉
